Terms of play

The game

Mobster Story is a free online game. It's in alpha: it's still being built, so features, balance and prices can change, and you may run into bugs. We'll always try to be fair to players when things change.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 to play. If you're under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to buy anything.
• One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
• Your username can't be offensive or pretend to be staff or someone else.

Playing fair

These get an account limited, suspended or banned:

• Running more than one account, or sharing accounts.
• Bots, scripts, macros or anything that plays for you.
• Using bugs or exploits instead of reporting them to staff.
• Buying or selling accounts, game money or points for real money outside the game.
• Harassment, hate, threats or sharing other people's personal information, in chat or anywhere else in the game. Chat has its own rules you agree to before your first message.

Players who share a connection or a device, like family or roommates, can all play, but they can't send each other cash, items or points, sell to each other or bet against each other. If that's you, message staff in game or email support@mobsterstory.com and they can check and clear it.

Points and purchases

• Points are a virtual currency for use in Mobster Story only. They have no cash value, can't be exchanged for real money, and aren't your property: you're buying a license to use them in the game.
• Payments are handled securely by Stripe. Prices are shown in US dollars before you pay.
• Points are added to your account as soon as the payment clears. If they don't arrive, message any staff member in the game and we'll sort it out.
• Purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise or we decide to refund in a particular case.
• If a payment is charged back or reversed, we may remove the points it bought and suspend the account until it's settled.
• We may change what points can buy and what packs cost. Points already in your account stay yours to use.
• If an account is banned for breaking these terms, unspent points are lost.

Our part

We work to keep the game running and fair, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, the game is provided as it is, and we're not liable for indirect losses or for more than you paid us in the last 12 months.

Ending things

You can stop playing at any time and ask staff to delete your account. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever shut the game down, we'll give notice in the game first.
